About Me

I am a research scientist in the Machine Learning and Inference Research (MLIR) team at Netflix.

I study Machine Learning (ML) to improve decision-making for user-interactive systems.
I am interested in all things AI, especially reinforcement learning and causal reasoning.

I received a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2010,
PhD in Computer Science (minor in Applied Math) from Cornell University in 2017,
and I was a researcher in the Microsoft Research Redmond Lab from 2017 - 2024.

When not day-dreaming about AI, I play a little soccer and a lot of video-games.
I received my private pilot license in 2019 and fly an experimental light sport aircraft.
